The BPWA is an association that has been formed by the Punjabis residing in the United Kingdom, to give a helping hand to people in need from all walks of life.

The association is led by a group of experienced and humble professionals from various fields such as Medicine (GPs), Information Technology, Banking, Entrepreneurs etc., who wish to readily lend their services in supporting, guiding and helping the lonely old and supporting the youth to achieve their very best.

Aims:
To identify isolated/lonely Old people who need help.
To assist them by delivering to their needs, alleviating their isolation by providing them guidance, arranging social outings and developing permanent link with them.
To develop liaison with the relevant state services (such as local authority departments and other agencies) and ensure that they also play their full part in addressing these issues.
To help young people through coaching and mentoring to become more successful in their professional lives
To extend financial or any other assistance to some relevant institution's, such as hospitals, hospice and cancer research in the current economic constraint.
To provide immediate services to people of Punjabi origin and extend these to other sections of the community, irrespective of caste creed or religion, thereby being true to our daily Sikh prayer: “Sarbat Da Bhala”.
Approach:
To develop an effective and practical structure of the BPWA .
To be a focal point for information and advice.
To increase awareness of our role and services, and establish liaison with relevant agencies.
To encourage other members of the community to join the organisation and built up a team of loyal, selfless and community orientated members.
To function on the module of specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time bound technique which would help to get better results at the end of the year.
To device a practical tailor made line of action, such as regular meetings of members.
To ensure that these forums are regular and consistent and meet our avowed aims and standards.
To raise funds from our own resources as well as through fund raising activities.
